Malacca Day 2 & 3

*blow dust*

It's been so so long since I last blogged :( I broke my promise again GAHHHHHHHH

But here I am, back with my Malacca trip post. Can't believe time pass so fast, it's coming to the end of August already. What did I do for the past 8/9 months?! o_O

I really can't remember what we did on the 2nd day in Malacca cause it was so long ago. Guess we did some discussion and lots of fun. and yes, selfies :p Now everyone should know why is taking picture so important. Mainly because we are too forgetful, but pictures can capture the moment and our slightest memories :')

I shall let the pictures do the talking now. After lunch, most of the people decided to head back and enjoy the rest of their Sunday lazying at home. But that's not us! So Malacca City, here we come! Right before we leave, our excited (or retarded) face ><

I remember it was a burning hot day, and we walked around with a monopod :p

Went to this cafe because of the unique name, Malaysia 13 States' Coffee. From what I heard, the owner really went to all the states and try all their signature coffee and bring it back to Malacca :)

Love his/her idea of bringing all the coffee from other states so people can try all the coffees in just 1 place :) Good job there! :D

The interior of this cafe is so unique and it's crazy to think about the effort that the owner put in just to decorate the whole place. Don't understand why? Let's see. This is what you see when you step in

And if you think the cafe is small, you're wrong! Walk in and you'll see...

Every corner of this place is so nicely decorated! Just imagine how long it takes to do all these. Incredible

I even saw this ...

Don't get what I mean? Okay, let me zoom in

HAHAHAHAHA! Dilarang membuka mulut selebar ini, means Do not open your mouth as wide as this! :p

Saw this hanging on the plant. Awwwww :') It's always good to feel appreciated

#fakecandid of me and my partner in crime, Sumita

Tried some of their snacks too :p

The Famous Curry Laksa. Wasn't too bad but nothing to shout about.

Finger foods :)

And of course, coffee! Tried Johor coffee this time :)

Satisfying meal :D

Not sure if anyone knows that there is a lot of shops selling pretty kebaya in Malacca. Long story cut short, we saw beautiful kebaya and I couldn't resist myself so I bought 1 set :) Only for RM150! Mad cheap :D

*sorry no pictures because we were too busy and excited trying on the kebaya.

Walked around and took pictures again :)

The Christ Church

See how well we utilized  the monopod? :p Stopped at a store for cendol but unfortunately, the cendol is lousyyy :(

At least they have some nice collection of Coca-cola which worth a picture.

Continued our journey and went into this shop! So amazed by most of the things that they sell there.

This pretty sums up our short 3 days 2 nights trip in Malacca :) But before I end. Let me spam you with some of the pictures we took before checking out from our room :p

The people I treasure :)

Malacca Day 1

HIIIIIIIIIII EVERYBODEHHHH! *big waves*

I'm finally back with a post :) Yes, I went to Malacca! After 12 years -.- that's longgggg I know. I roughly remember I went there for a day trip. Nothing much I could remember after all these years :/ But this time is different! I'm going there with all my fellow church mates :D for a church camp, obviously.

Most of my church members went in the morning, but for me, I was assigned to follow one of my church member's car which will leave to Malacca in the evening which was perfect for me because I'm always too lazy to pack and unpack for camp/vacation :p (It can't just be me okay?) After procrastinating for hours, I finally got my lazy ass off my bed and started packing and did some shopping (mainly cup noodles) I know it's not healthy but it is a must-bring item for camp. no?

So, when the clock hits 6pm, I brought everything with me and meet Edmund at his place. I managed to pack everything in ONE bag only. So proud of myself :p Hopped in Ed's car, picked Calvin up and there we go! No, not to Malacca yet, we decided to have dinner before the journey :) Sorry but I didn't take any picture, and the place and food don't deserve any pics anyway.

After dinner, around 8pm, we started our journey to the small city full of yummy foods :D 2 and a half hours later, we finally arrived at the resort but the session ended :( Went up to the room, settle down and went to Sumita's room :) Time for lots of fun, movies, games, food and selfies  Many couldn't make it this time for the camp due to personal reasons, but at least I still have my girls with me, and some new friends like Chris and Rebecca, YC and Mel :)

Selfie time! This is just part of all the pictures we took.

My bestie for years :)

Sumita and Cheryl :D

I grow up with these girls :) From the left, Sumita, yours truly and Sharon. Couldn't be more thankful for them.

Enough selfies, we proceed to do manicure instead :p #girlsbeinggirls

Done! Showing off our manicure :p
and more selfies of me and Sumita, Sharon and Kenneth :)

It was an awesome night and we stayed up until 2am, knowing that we have to wake up at 7.30am the next morning for breakfast #yolo :p Shall come back and post about the 2nd and 3rd day soon, like real soon. I promise :)

It's been soooooo long since I last went for a vacation, not even a weekend getaway due to my hectic schedule, but I thank God for giving me this opportunity to escape the busy life for a while :) 3 days 2 night wasn't long enough to be honest, but it's better than nothing, better still, I even get to enjoy my short vacay with my loved one  Couldn't be more blessed than this :')

Will be back soon!
Till then xx

Gratitude

*blow dust* Hi guys! Sorry for breaking my promise to blog 'soon'. Again -_- But I'm back anyway! Before you continue reading this post, please note that this post do not have any pictures. Not even ONE, so if you know you will get annoyed reading reading and reading, please DO NOT continue. Thank you :)

So yeah, here comes my favourite day out of the month. It's 27th again and I can't believe we have came so far, together. It's like a dream (nightmare sometimes :p) Even though it is not the lovey-dovey kind of relationship and things get hard, but I'm still thankful because the good would always, always pop out to remind me what a blessing are you to me :)

And so, this is my post about gratitude.

Gratitude, is the quality of being thankful, readiness to show appreciation for and return to kindness that has been received. Gratitude, thankfulness, gratefulness and appreciation is what I've mostly experience in this 2 weeks :)

As some of you know, (if you read my previous post HERE) I'm officially employed, and I started working on the 17th of March 2014. Mark this date, I'm not sure if it is gonna be rough, or tough or stressful, or all of the above *sudden meltdown* But since I've taken up this job, I believe that God will lead me through this.

Indeed. God is so good, He granted me a bunch of wonderful colleagues to work with :D Although I still don't know them much, but I can't thank them enough for being so welcoming since my first day of work. I still remember how nervous I am on my first day, afraid that I can't get up on time, afraid that I will be late on my first day of work. Not knowing what to do, not knowing where to go, not knowing how to carry myself in a place that I know no one.

On Monday morning, I woke up so early, before the alarm even rang! ( I set my alarm at 7am and I woke up wayyyyyy early than that) which can be considered as MIRACLE! Sleepyhead I know. I reach my workplace around 8.30am and went straight to the Human Resources office. No picture allowed sorry :( And why would I take picture on my first day? I saw a girl, sitting there alone miserably, waiting for someone to attend to her. And so I joined her. Just because she look extremely familiar but I couldn't remember her name. *felt so old :(

I was looking at her all the time. I'm not a stalker and I don't always stare at people, just so you know. Unless he/she is super attractive :p I guess she feels the same because I caught her looking at me a few times too. After 15 minutes of total boredom and awkwardness, we had a so call, briefing. I finally remembered who she is after the self introduction!

Turns out, she's Sara! One of my Uni close friend's friend. We met 4 years ago through my friend and we hang out few times together after that, but ever since my friend went off to pursue her degree, Sara and I lost contact and never met each other anymore. To be honest, I might totally forgot about her if I didn't met her again after this dramatic, long 4 years. I was so shocked and happy, never knew that I would meet a long lost friend here, things suddenly seems to be brighten up and I've found myself a lunch partner! hahaha so lame.

As soon as I was brought to my office, my manager came straight up to me and introduce herself which is really impressive :) When the clock hits 12, and I am ready to look for Sara for lunch, my colleagues came to me and invite me to join them for lunch :') Guess they know (or saw) how miserable I am :p All these that happened on my first day made a great impact and brought out the confident in me. I know I have to do my best because I'm on the right track that God put me at. And He will always be with me and lead me :)

With all these blessing that I've received, I decided to start keeping a Gratitude Journal :) Believe it or not, it has been only a week since I started but I already benefit from this! Frankly speaking, I am difficult. Difficult to please, difficult to be cheered up when I'm down. I am not that kind of person who will wake up and yawnnnnn, then say it's gonna be a good day! Even though I don't think anyone, especially working adults will think/say that. Negative thoughts was taking over me, bit by bit without me noticing, I don't speak, joke or laugh that much anymore. I'm being more and more sarcastic and mean to people around. I became the person that I once hated the most.

And of course, I realize the changes in me and I always pray to change to be better, but the next day when I woke up, I am still the person that I am the last night, this drives me crazy. I never want to hurt anyone with my words but I did. I never want to be rude to my parents, but I pissed them off again and again. I was so disappointed with myself at one point and as I am scrolling through my Instagram, looking at all the nice pictures, happy faces and prayers for #MH370, I was wondering why am I so upset with my own life? I'm only 22 (21 and 3 months to be exact :p and yeah I just had to) I still have so many things to do, to try, to explore in my life. I should not be like this anymore.

If the only prayer you say in your life is 'thank you', that would suffice.

Gratitude definitely heightens the quality of life, but first, what is gratitude?

Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It also means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle. Gratitude can shifts my focus from what my life lacks to the abundance that is already present. And I'm pretty sure that it will shift yours too :) I've learnt to give thanks and appreciation to everyone that helped me, even if it's the slightest thing. Giving thanks makes me happier and more resilient, moreover, it also strengthens my relationship with my parents, friends, colleagues and loved ones :) It makes me more happy and cheerful, and as crazy as it sounds, it does reduce stress too!

It is amazing how one simple, easy and positive action can change so much in a person's life. The realization of the power of gratitude has brought the biggest effect to me. It has made me a more positive person, a more productive person, a better daughter, friend and colleagues (to me, at least) No one is perfect and no one will ever be, but gratitude, can make us all better, make the world a better place to live in.

Of course, I'm not here to brag about how good I've became. I still get frustrated from time to time, all of us will encounter those bad days, such as get yelled at by someone, stressed about work, school, assignments etc etc, but always remember, one of the things that can make a screwed up day better is making a list of all the things that you're thankful for. There are always something to be thankful for, such as your loved ones, having a job, having a car, healthy body. In fact, we should be thankful for life itself.

Everyday, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive,
I have a precious human life,
I am not going to waste it.
I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others,
to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.
I am going to have kind thoughts towards others,
I am not going to get angry or think badly about others.
I am going to benefit others as much as I can.

Gratitude should not be just a reaction to get what you want, but an all-the-time gratitude, the kind where you notice all the little things and where you constantly look for the good even in unpleasant situations.

I figure life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it.
You don't know what hand you're gonna get dealt next.
You learn to take life as it comes at you...
To make each day count.

Till then,
xx

:)

It's been 2 months since I last blogged! Omg can't believe it's march already :( How was 2014 treating you guys so far? Hope everyone is still sticking with their goals and resolutions :) What a shame but I basically did nothing, like absolutely nothing in the past 2 months besides hanging out :p

After being lifeless for months, I finally woke up and thought that I should stop doing nothing. So I went for interview and I am so lucky and blessed to say that I GOT THE JOB! *throw confetti and pop champagne for myself*

It's march 2014, everything is still good :) Couldn't agree more with what he once said to me 'I wouldn't say journey with  you is easy. Things weren't always good, instead, I'd say it's bittersweet'. I guess that's life. Things don't always go your way but I guess that's the reason why we are here. To work hard for what we want. Trust and have faith. Sometimes, making the right choice is more important than doing the right thing.

A challenge that worth the shot! It might change your life :)

Shameless selfies :p

Cheerio! :)

Hello 2014!

So, it's 31st of December 2013 already. Last day of 2013. I never once realise that time pass extremely fast even though everyone beside me keep telling me all these years. I always thought that time is just at it's pace. But this year, for once. I must admit that time flies. Like, literally flying.

I still remember the heartbreak from the start of the year, never felt so devastated before. It was a bad bad start of 2013, but I thank God for not giving up on me, instead, He gave me something even better after that, He made me truly believe that He has a plan for me and to trust Him full heartedly

To be honest, 2013 is not the best year. Maybe is not what I expect but it is definitely a year that is full of lesson, goodness and blessings  It's absolutely insane to think that I am 21 already *screamsssss* and turning 22 tomorrow! *screams even louderrrrrr*

Bye 2013, Hello 2014! As a new year is stepping in, here I am, listing down my new year resolution.

1. To always put God in my first place and give Him all the glory and best time of my life
I was blessed bountifully throughout my 21 years of life. To be honest, I was never a very strong believer and I did not put God in my first place. But yet He did not give up on me no matter what circumstances I'm in and what trouble I got myself into. In 2014, I want to be more committed to Jesus and live a meaningful life that He has prepare for me :) ♥ Nothing should come before Him as this is my top priority

2.To bless and give back to my parents.
Everyone know that it is never an easy task to raise a child. From the moment that they had me until now, it has been more than 20 years and still they are providing for me. Although I don't get everything I want, and we have countless fights and argument, but I am always grateful for having them as my parents, providing what I need and still love me and stand by me no matter how grumpy, ridiculous I can be.

3. To maintain a healthy and good relationship.
One of the greatest thing that God has blessed me with is the special one  and a bunch of new friend. I want a healthy relationship with all my friends and those who love me. Appreciation. A word that I should always bear in mind. Reminding myself to not take anyone for granted. Be sincere.

4. To find my dream job and be financially independent.
I remember I read about this wise quote before. It says that 'find a job that you love and don't mind doing it everyday so that you don't think you are working'. Because work is always boring, according to most of the people around me. I never want to be the person that do things for the sake of doing. And I'm like all other normal girls that love shopping and travelling. All these can't be done unless I'm financially secured and independent. I must be more committed and discipline. Provide the best to the people around me like how I like others to do the same to me. And together let's cheers to a profitable year!

5. To keep fit and eat healthily
2013 was a busy year, I couldn't spend time to hit the gym and my asthma is getting worse :( In order to be healthy, I must quit supper and try not to eat instant noodle so often, exercise more to have a better health condition and skin complexion.

6. To be able to travel around and enjoy life
After a hectic year and finally graduated from my course, I think I deserve to have a not-so-long holiday, to have fun and experience the world. I don't think I need to explain more on this one :p

Above all, I still have to seek God always and prepare myself for the challenges that He has prepared for me to mould me. I pray that God will bless every single one of you, that are reading this post. 2014 must be good! *burning desires*

Till then

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's been 2 months since my last post! But anyway,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODEHHH!

I was always taught to be thankful for what I have and be sincere. And I guess if everyone have the same thought, the world will be a wayyyy more beautiful place to live :) I'm not saying that I'm prefect, in fact, no one is perfect, but we can always do our best to be a better person, to be the one who bring hope when hope when it seems all hope is gone. And by the love and blessing from Jesus Christ, we can always be the salt and light unto the world
